BSA aluminum rod failure.

this, folks, is the carnage created by rod bolt failure. not a car engine, but an old british twin, that we found out had already been over bored .040. so not only a new upper cyl casing, but new pistons and rods as well. ouch....

so just how much work?

so just how much work was it to do what i did to my new wheels, you ask? yea, i could have done it with vinyl, etc. but that would have meant relying on someone else, etc. as well, getting what i was trying to do, translated to exactly what i wanted would have been a long walk so to speak..

had to test fit them first, before i got to far ahead of myself.


once that was sorted, it was game on..

WekFest Chicago, McCormick Place. one of the few indoor shows i have done, and thought it would be a blast to get the car involved in a more JDM style of show. always been into all sorts of cars, so always in for broadening my view, and doing the same for those that might not see much from the euro side of things.

for the life of me, i cannot remember his name, but the man, the myth, behind the @WeksosUSA twitter feed took this picture. finally met in person, and swapped some tattoo pics. also got to put a real face to the names of Danny Rice, and crew from Ohio and points more south then that, as well as all the Chi regulars..

and destroyed my half caps on the drive down. but as seems to be the norm, i lucked out. Loud Mike had a set of OEM ones laying about the garage, and we had it sorted soon after finding it. all in a days drive i guess, and always ready for anything.
