naw, me under the hood of my own car, thats not normal or anything? kidding, probably more normal then anything else. went into the motor to re-torque the Racewear head studs, and while doing so, also replaced the intake cam adjuster itself. was hoping that it would rectify my timing issue. so far, i am not sure if it has or not, due to time. finally gave up last night around 11pm after being up since 4:30. got it all back together once, to realize upon filling the coolant that i had pinched the thermostat housing seal at the head, and had coolant running all over the place. so two coolant flushes later, and we had that sorted. then she made some awful noise at low rpm once we fired it back up. so i was done.
came back in this morning, fired it up, and no noise? not a clue, just was gone. so took it around the block a few times and got into some boost for the first time. still looks good, so i will chalk it up to being a temperamental POS, and leave it at that.
and we did get a lil video, so i will get that up when i can find some time..

rolling shots are always dope.
just had to get this up and out there. first real pics of the car, all clean and rolling out on the highway. followed a crew out to a little VW aircooled event in Eau Claire Wi from mpls to get some miles on the motor. ended up taking home awards for "top 25 of the show", and "best watercooled". D.Tek came along for the ride out, and got a some sic pictures on the ride home. more later..
